Abstract: This research examines the influence of project documentation on project outcomes, aiming to: 1) assess the importance of comprehensive project documentation, 2) evaluate the impact of documentation on project success, and 3) recommend strategies for improving project documentation practices. A survey design was chosen to collect data from project managers and team members. Using Taro Yamane's formula, a sample size of 355 respondents was determined, ensuring a 95% confidence level and a 5% margin of error. The study was conducted in the healthcare sector in Abuja, where detailed documentation is vital. The reliability coefficient score of the survey instrument was 0.88, indicating high reliability. Findings showed that thorough project documentation, including requirements, plans, and reports, significantly enhances project outcomes. Recommendations include adopting standardized documentation templates, providing training on documentation practices, and ensuring regular reviews and updates of project documents.
